The history education of junior middle school is facing many difficult problems. The essential way of solving this question is to take the way of professional development of history teachers, as well as to improve the level of the professional development of them and to construct a intelligence history teacher groups as quickly as possible. I went down to Pingjiang County, Hunan Province, investigated and studied the current situation of history education in junior middle school in Pingjiang. Through the research of sampling questionnaire survey and individual interview in history teachers of junior middle school from bottom to top in Pingjiang County, revealed the obstruction and the difficulties from inside and outside which it met on the course of the professional development of junior history teachers in Pingjiang County. On this basis, I lodged relevant suggestions and strategies of solving these difficulties for operation.Research methods:(1) literature. (2)Sampling surveyThis research took the history teachers of junior middle school as subject to investigate 90 teachers in 27 villages and towns in Pingjiang County through questionnaires and interviews differently which it as to be the analysis unit of individual. This study was divided into four parts.The first part expounded the background of the research, extend the contents and methodology of the research and so on.The second part is the theory of the professional development of the history teachers. Explained the teacher specialization and professional development of history teachers, brought forward the standard of history teacher specialization, expounded necessity of the professional development of history teachers.The third part described the current situation and problems of professional development of history teachers in junior middle school in Pingjiang County, analyzed the dominating factors and affects in teacher professional development from the basic situation of individual, specialized idea, knowledge and skills, professional development condition and resources and so on.The fourth part set fords strategies for validly for promotion professional development of history teachers in junior middle school in Pingjiang County.
