A Study On The Situation And Potential Of Tennis Sports At Universities In Liaoning Province

Tennis is an elegant, fashionable sport event with deep cultural deposit. The tennis sport has been an important entertaining sport popular among normal persons. Now tennis has been adored by universities'students gradually and the classes about tennis have been promoted and popularized in each university gradually. But due to the lack of tennis fields and facilities, the unreasonability of curriculum, the weakness of students'base, and the less of class hour about universities'tennis class, the sport of tennis'development has been restrained.This thesis has demonstrated clearly and analyzed deeply in the study of development situation of universities'tennis sport of Liaoning Province, knowing the promoting situation of universities'tennis sports of Liaoning Province, mastering the developmental characteristics of each universities'tennis sports, analyzing the advantages and disadvantage in both subjectivity and objectivity, and raising some relative strategies to solve problems. In the study course, the index system of developmental situations of universities'tennis sport of Liaoning Province has been constructed from school, teaching and society these three aspects. And twelve universities which have tennis courses have been chosen as the research object. By using the quantitative analysis of factor analysis, index analysis and hierarchical analysis, this thesis has made a comprehensive evaluation and comparable analysis on the developmental situation of universities'tennis sport of Liaoning Province. Among them, one index of top class, three indexes of second class, nine indexes of third class, and twenty-five indexes of fourth index have been constructed. From this the thesis gets a conclusion, that is: the tennis level in LiaoningNormal University has reached a very high position; the tennis level in Liaoning Petrochemical University and in Liaoning Industrial University is still quite normal; and the tennis level in Northeastern University, Shenyang Normal University, Shenyang Institute of Chemical, Shenyang Agriculture College, Dalian University of Technology, Dalian Transportation University, Dalian University, Liaoning Engineering Technology university and Bohai university has reached a relatively high position.Measuring the advantage degree and the potential degree of developments in tennis sports of these twelve universities chosen from Liaoning Province, the result shows that: the advantage in development of tennis sports in Liaoning Normal University, Dalian University, Shenyang Institute of Chemical and Dalian University of Technology is normal; the developmental potential is relatively larger in both Liaoning Normal University and Dalian University; and the developmental potential is relatively small in both Liaoning Petrochemical University and in Liaoning Industrial University.
