| An increasing number of scholars and teachers have paid more attention to developing student's communicative competence in their research and teaching after the publishing of New Curriculum Standard. In New Curriculum Standard, it changes a lot especially on method and techniques. Models of instruction is changing from teacher-centered to learner-centered, it emphasizes learner's participation and experience, and pays great attention to various techniques to make student communicate in an authentic situation.In traditional classroom conversation, for instants, the IRF (initiation-response-feedback) model, the conversation usually is quite different from everyday conversation on both contexts and manners. Student is hard to acquiring authentic English though traditional classroom conversation; the classroom conversation lacks of the characteristics of social conversation and is easy to reach an impasse of fix trend of thinking. The authenticity of classroom conversation should be taken seriously to improve student's participation in classroom and vitality, and to develop student's linguistic skills and communicative competence, even the motivation and learning ability.This thesis starts from the characteristic of conversation, using the rationale of Communicative Language Teaching and Leo Van Lier's AAA curriculum, and hopefully to design a more authentic conversation in order to develop student's linguistic skills and communicative competence. It uses the method of experiment and analysis to investigate student's English learning in the classroom with a high authentic conversation. This thesis is going to test and verify such a hypothesis: comparably high authentic conversation in English reaching can develop student's participation, vitality and concept of classroom conversation. |
