| Xinjiang province is located in the northwest borderland of China, which has a large area and many different groups in it, and takes an important place in the country so that related with the security and the development of the whole country. As rapid growth of China, Xinjiang province develops much slowly, and the gap between Xinjiang and developed area growing larger and larger, resulting in a lot of insecurity factors for the country. In order to make Xinjiang develop faster and reduce the gap between Xinjiang and developed area, a proper way of governance is needed. But the way of the central government governing Xinjiang is based on the special situation when the People's Republic of China was established, it does not suit the present situation that have been changed. That is to say we should reappraise the situation that Xinjiang is facing and analyze the disadvantage of the current way of governance, then find out the reason and change the way gradually.This paper consist of four parts:in the first part, I introduce the background and meaning of choosing this title, overview of related research, main concept and the way of researching; in the second part, I review the policies that central government made for Xinjiang in politics, economy and society in detail; in the third part, I conclude the problems that central government governed Xinjiang from three perspective and analyzed the reasons which caused the problems from inside and outside; in the last part, I discuss how to cope with the problems caused when central government governed Xinjiang and I get the conclusion that the central government should take more advantage of the soft governance so that it can adjust to the hard governance and can be more effective; the central government should stop making use of Family occasion and turn to the Localism; the central government should change the state that give priority to the feeling-type governance than rule-type governance to the contrary. |
