"chanting Poetry" The Xie Tiao Article Shu Zheng

Shipin, written by ZhongRong, was regarded as the original of Chinese poetry criticism. It has developed key arguments about poetry history, theory, aesthetics and critical methodology which are evidently valuable and inspiring for further discussion in this field. Shipin not only have a significant impact on the literature criticism history, but also generated research question about its critical reviews written by poets. XieTiao is regarded as an important poet who was inheriting the poem style of Jian'An period and was influential in Tang dynasty. XieTiao's reviews of ShiPin not only made an important statements, but also is an unignored material. From then on, many critics in the evaluation of XieTiao's poetry, inevitably needs to refer to ShiPin evaluation. The research of XieTiao's reviews in ShiPin focused on ShiPin noted by scholars, academic discussion of literature thought in ShiPin, valuation of XieTiao's poetry in different kinds of Chinese ancient literature history and literary criticism history. Although they have made considerable achievements, there are still gaps needing supplemented. Therefore this article will study ShiPin criticism practice, its literary thought, and XieTiao's poetry. Based on these studies, it will provide systematic analyses of Shipin from the perspective of XieTiao reviews in order to evaluate the theoretical value of Shipin and understand the value of XieTiao's poem. The text consists of three chapters:The first chapter illustrates XieTiao's poem style on inheritance from past poets and different affections of "XiMi". It is reflected by two aspects:Firstly, XieTiao's poem style coming from XieHun expresses that similar poem style called "WenShengZhi" between poets, and "BuLun" should be explained "HaoHuaiBuQi" in order to contact "ZiYouYuShi"; Secondly, connotation of "XiMi" represents not only positive sense but also negative effect.The second chapter analyzes the brilliant sentences of Xie Tiao's poetry. It includes two aspects:Firstly, explanation and examples of "QiZhangXiuJu", and according XieTiao's poem,"QiZhangXiuJu" expresses "ZiRan" proposed by Shipin; Secondly, it discusses that relation on "YanYi" reflects "ZiRan" artistic conception in XieTiao's poem, and "ZhiXun" in XieTiao's poem creation shows "ZiRan" artistic conception.The third chapter explains "MoPianDuoZhi", including that the reasons of it appearing in poem, whether it is harm to sense of art in poem and the valuation of Shipin is objective or not. There are two aspects: Firstly, the reason is that "YiRui'ErCaiRou" and abstract description in XieTiao's poems; Secondly, although there are points of other scholars different from ZhongRong's overview, the valuation of Shipin is objective after general consideration and comparation.
