| Language is human society's most important communication tool, it is with social interdependence and mutual influence. As vocabulary is one of the three elements of a language, it s more flexible and sensitive than the speech and grammar of a language. It also can reflect language development and the relevant period. With the social development and scientific progress, all kinds of new things, new concepts, new phenomena and new concepts constantly are emerging.Tibetan language is starting being far from meeting the original terms of the need for people to communicate with each other, so new concepts are been named. As a result, the Tibetan vocabulary has been expended.With the development of the Internet and the popularization of information technology, human society has entered the Information Age as well as the information tech of Tibetan is beendeveloped rapidly. Meanwhile, the Tibetan form of web pages is also increasing so many new terms are produced. According to statistics, so far, there are 45 formal Tibetan websites. People's Daily China(Tibetan), Tibet News(Tibetan) and Tibet Information Center(Tibetan) are more formal, comprehensive and browsed by many. These three sites belong to the world's top 10ALEXA in the Tibetan language website.Based on the People's Daily China (Tibetan), Tibet News(Tibetan) and Tibet Information Center(Tibetan), to study the new vocabulary of the Tibetan language.5000 new words are collected from the "new terminology dictionary" published by the National translation Center and Sino-Tibetan-English Dictionary of New Words. Use these words to build a Thesaurus including 3017 new words as well as their parts of speech and length.Using the methods of induction, classification and comparison, the causes, structures, destitution, types, characteristics, principles of creation and the development trend are discussed as well as to calculate the proportion of word length and the part of speech. Among the new words, nouns are dominated with 78%. There are also many two-syllable words. All in all, this paper should preliminarily summarize the basic features of Tibetan words and new developments, which seek to grasp the dynamics of Tibetan culture and language status. |
