As we all know, Koxinga is great national hero. In fact, he is a sea contractor on the far east international stage in the seventeenth century. In the thirty-ninth year of his life, he had been in an international environment, and kept in touch with Japanese,Netherlanderen,Spanish and other countries people. Therefore, there are lots of detailed records in many countries' historical records.Koxinga was born in Japan to a Japanese mother. Because of having Japanese blood relationship, He is endowed with different imagination, different cultural significance in the different times. Japan was in this way to support its rule from culture aspect. Such cultural imaginations constitute the first part of this thesis. After Koxinga's father succumbed to Qing dynasty and his mother suicide,he was inherited his father's mission and continued to fight against the Qing dynasty in the southeast corner of Fujian. Therefore, Fujian was one of the most powerful regions in three provinces, of which is not occupied in Qing dynasty. It cannot be ignored in the history of late Ming and early Qing Dynasty. Hence, the figure of Koxinga family can be seen in the record history of foreign books. This kind of foreigners' writings is the second part of the thesis. Except in the war of Taiwan, Koxinga has close contacted with Dutchman in business. There was a large number of information and diaries described Koxinga's behavior and image in Dutch East India Company. This historical information is the third part of thesis.The thesis consists of three parts. We will select several typical texts as research objects, combined with three elements——the authors' background and race, class, age, not only restore the images of Koxinga in the western perspective, but also explain the reason of why produce such images.
