Since the Reform and Opening, with the rapid economic development and increasing national strength, China's international status gradually improved, and foreigners are paying more and more attention to the Chinese language and culture. Especially with the development of economic globalization and China's accession to the WTO, China has become more significant in the international economic trade, with more frequent overseas business. In order to develop business in China, more and more foreign business people are learning Chinese, especially Business Chinese.Textbook is an important tool for teaching and learning. The number of textbooks on Business Chinese is insufficient, and the types are not enough. The writing quality is difficult to meet the needs of learning and teaching, as well. Therefore, the imperative to accelerate the construction of Business Chinese textbooks is necessary for the development of China's foreign language teaching. Previous research on teaching materials for Chinese business is not extensive, and it is not deep enough. They put forward some general plans for writing new textbooks, or some suggestions for improvement for some parts of the textbooks according to the teaching process. This article aims to combine the characteristics of Business Chinese and learners, to discuss the principles and methods for writing the beginners'Business Chinese textbooks for foreign business people.This thesis firstly has a systematic study of the domestic teaching and textbooks of Business Chinese, then, sums up the defects of current Business Chinese teaching and materials, and put forward some recommendations for improvement.Secondly, this thesis explores how to write the beginners' Business Chinese textbooks for foreign business people from writing principles, structural framework, content selection, text writing and exercises design. The thesis has pointed out the design of every part of the textbook not only has to follow the general principles for writing Business Chinese textbooks to embody practicability and communication of Business Chinese. And the textbook is supposed to meet the needs of the foreign business people who are beginners of Chinese study. The content is supposed to combine basic knowledge of Chinese language with the themes close to business people's daily life and work, and relevant cultural knowledge is integrated into. The texts are supposed to be mainly situational dialogues and short texts reflecting the life and work of contemporary business. The framework is supposed to be learner-centered, reflecting communication, situation and practicability. Exercises are supposed to give consideration to both the consolidation of basic knowledge of language and the training of business communication abilities. Meanwhile, in order to adapt to the development of times and education, a variety of new teaching theories and new technologies are supposed to be applied.In the exploration process, a number of Business Chinese textbooks with the close level are studied such as Chinese for Managers:Everyday Chinese, Gateway to Business Chinese, etc. Through the investigation, this thesis sums up the strong points and weak points of these books, and on this basis, put forward some new ideas on writing beginners' Business Chinese textbooks.
