Compare to indo-Europe, a lot of quantifiers(it called a numeral in Japanese )is one of the features of Chinese and Japanese. Chinese quantifiers is a noun, a verb and an adjective in origin. Accurately use quantifiers let language become more clear and vivid. Since ancient times , Japanese numeral are keep influenced by Chinese. Chinese quantifiers are much borrowed into Japanese numeral. Chinese quantifiers and Japanese numeral have a common point and also have difference. As a result of comparison, there are features, direction in this thesis.First, I introduce history and classification of Chinese and Japanese quantifiers. It is introduced history development and influence respectively. Secondly, as a result of analysis of students improper use of the quantifiers, relationship of combination of quantifiers and noun in Chinese and Japanese tell us that feature of quantifiers in Chinese and Japanese.Comparative of Chinese and Japanese, you can find the difference of them and be able to comprehension what is the difficult point for study. Only when foreign language teacher understand students what cause of mistake can correct a mistake and prevent.The East language of feature is using a lot of quantifiers and express people and things. I hope that everyone be able to avoid or less mistake through this thesis.
