Study On The Imperial Censor System In The Early Koryo Period

The source of the Early Imperial censor system in Koryo can be traced back to the central authorities in Silla,including the Si Zheng Fu and the Neifeng province of Tai Feng,and the imperial censor system was introduced into the Tang Dynasty.But it was also influenced by the mode of Taijian unificationin the Song Dynasty.Due to the aristocratic political tradition since the Three Kingdoms period on the Korean Peninsula,the exercise of the power of censor also presents a more complex situation.In the early stage of Korea,the imperial censor played a certain role in maintaining the royal power and restricting the dignitaries.However,when the imperial censor’s admonition duty was expanded or used by the dignitaries,it would become a prop of the dignitaries and restrict the developing royal power.Stones from other mountains can be used to attack jade.A dialectical analysis of the historical evolution of the Early Imperial historian of Koryo,the setting of officials,the scope of authority and its advantages and disadvantages can enable us to better learn lessons from the advantages and disadvantages of the early supervision system of Koryo,so as to provide reference value for today’s supervision system reform.The first part of this paper is the acceptance of the central supervision system in the early stage of Koryo and the code system in the Tang and Song dynasties.In the early stage of Koryo,the imperial censor system mainly inherited the Silla Sizhengfu and the Neifeng province of Tai Feng.Later,it learned from the Chinese political system and absorbed the imperial historian platform system of the Tang Dynasty and the Taijian admonition system of the Song Dynasty,showing the situation of melting the Tang and song systems in one furnace.The setting background of the imperial historian was not only influenced by the system of Tang and Song Dynasties,but also changed due to local customs,so it presented a complex situation.The second chapter is the establishment of institutions and personnel of the imperial censor platform in the early stage of Koryo.This chapter mainly includes the geographical location of the censor’s office after the Chengzong reform,the setting of the censor’s officials,the selection,examination and transfer of the censor’s officials,the rank and part-time of the censor’s officials,etc.By observing the setting of the censor’s institutions and officials,we can find the characteristics of the central supervision system in the early stage of Koryo.The third chapter is the functions and powers of the imperial censor group in the early stage of Koryo.This chapter combs the specific functions and contents of the imperial censor group in the early stage of Koryo,mainly from the terms of reference of the imperial censor group’s officials for picketing and impeachment,the hearing and reporting,admonition,confuting and signature power of the imperial censor officials,and the supervision of the imperial censor group on local officials and aristocratic family.Through the implementation and limitation of the specific measures of the central censor supervision system,we find the uniqueness of Koryo’s early supervision system.The fourth chapter is the historical significance and limitations of the imperial censor system in the early stage of Koryo.The imperial censor system in the early stage of Koryo played a role in restricting the royal power,rectifying the administration of officials,restricting the power officials and creating public politics,but there were also huge loopholes and disadvantages,resulting in the chaotic politics of military officials in the middle stage,and the effectiveness of the supervision system was not brought into better play.Finally,through the analysis of the impact and advantages of the imperial censor system,summarize the general development law of the supervision system in the early stage of Koryo under the ancient autocratic centralized system.The last part is the conclusion.Summarize the research results of this paper and summarize the core viewpoints of this paper.In the early stage of Koryo,the power of impeachment of the imperial censor was small,which could not strongly restrict the dignitaries and powerful officials.Its admonitory function further restricted the royal power,and finally became a major reason for the formation of the dictatorship of military officials in the middle of Koryo.
