Children's picture books, as an important part of children's education, have a unique artistic charm. Children's picture books, which create one wonderful dream after another, help children slowly develop their cognitive abilities, increase their interests in reading and appreciation and then give the growing wings to their growth. With the development of society, people make steady progress ideologically. However, in the high-speed developing times, they often ignore some true things, just pursuing efficiency and interests. An old saying has been said:"child is the father of the man."So it is not difficult to see that the ancients clearly understand that the children's performance in this period is intrinsically related to their growth in future and also has an important effect on their growth. The children, who are at their most vigorous in the period from birth to maturity, grow with strongest plasticity and fastest changes, which thus remains a concern to psychologists and educators. Children's picture books make so profound impact on them that the creation of children's picture books must be based on the children's preferences and requires the authors to follow children's psychological needs.This article is to analyze the children's picture books from their psychological perspectives. Due to unique psychological characteristics, personality and aesthetic preferences of children, they select picture books independently and in stages. Relevant experts define the balance between autonomy and phase as the classification of children's reading. The creation of picture books, based on children's psychological needs, is to analyze such constituent elements as illustration, color, font and material from the physical and psychological perspectives. In short, we should know the states of mind and needs of children, summarize the creation design, make the integration actively, and reflect the problems. Only in this way can we create the works suitable for the children.
