| The Philosophy of Multicultural music/music diversity has been recommended in both Ethnomusicology and Music Education field in recent years. As a representative course of multiculture, World Musics itself and its pedagogics are concerned by ethnomusicologists and educators. Nevertheless, the pedagogics of World Musics require further study in China.This dissertation reviews the development of American multicultural music education ---the context in my study which embodies the development of world musics in the U.S. society. And, With the help of field work at School of Music NIU in America, I'll introduce various aspects of world music and explore its teaching characteristics described in the paper to analyze the specific ways in the practice of the teach process, including the Of general situations,teaching methods,teaching models, And teaching ideas, trying to grasp its teaching, summed up that pedagogics of world music with Practice of participatory features.Finally, the summary of ways in teaching world musics lies in two patterns of practice:listening,performance practice, In addition, from the theoretical perspective of D.J Elliott's Practical music education philosophy,I discuss its applied issues in the pedagogics of world musics. |
