Zhao Yi's poetics reflects the distinguishing features of their own. He insisted on "melts in the creation of learning temper". Based on the Poetry attitude of "to value the past but not neglect the present", on the held that the criticism methods of "Knowing about human nature and commenting worldly concerns", and that the criticism mode of combining "character" and "poetry". Meanwhile, ZhaoYi, also as an historian, applied dialectical development view of history in his poetry, used the method of "poetic and epic mutual confirmation", making his poetics attention to the value of not only aesthetic but also historical poetry.What is worth mentioning, ZhaoYi regarded innovation as poetry aesthetic standards, and referred it to a new height, that is, the life of art lies in innovation. ZhaoYi explained "innovation" from the point of contents and methods. On the contents of the innovation, he stressed that the creation subject should be in the leading role in an aesthetic activities. So he established his own doctrine of "innovation" framework which combined with the inner thoughts and the external form of poetry. In innovative ways, his first made the creation subject priority, and then highlighted his "innovation" from the angle of the thoughts and form.ZhaoYi insisted on his own distinct academic character, not drift with the current. This research spirit gave posterity big inspiration. His poetic theory of "taking innovation as the core of creation" had certain effect on poetics during the periods of Qian- Jia, even after the period of Jia-Dao. At the same time, along with the foreign exchange, ZhaoYi's poetic works and thoughts gradually expanded overseas, which deepen the exotic scholar understanding of Chinese cultural, further to show foreigners the Chinese cultural charm.
