The main purpose of this thesis is to verify the feasibility of the Chinese teaching as a foreign language without medium languages at the initial stage. The main content of this article is based on the theories related teaching methods in order to develop a teaching design of no medium languages. Then the instructional design will be used in class experiments to get feedback.Firstly, this article defines the meaning of medium language in this thesis.It is limited to the meaning of Chinese teaching as a foreign language to teaching Chinese with Chinese; then I summed up the theories of the current research of Chinese teaching as a Foreign Language without medium languages and some related studies.And it was summarized that the basic method of Chinese teaching without medium languages as well as the problems which should be paid attention to. The last but most important I put forward a Chinese teaching design of no medium language which is suitable to the primary stage based on the theories of education, educational psychology, researches of second language teaching.In order prepared for the teaching design, I should grasp the content to teach first. So I studied the teaching syllabus and Chinese vocabulary levels of the primary stage. I also communicated with experienced teachers to learn the methods of Chinese teaching to foreigners. I selected the article of "Where is Tian Fang" as an example, the first lesson of "Chinese Course"(written Jizhou Yang, Beijing Language and Culture University Press).The teaching design I made reflects the characteristics of teaching Chinese in Chinese without any assistants of medium languages. This course requires four times of class,40 minutes each. It is usually two hours a lesson. There are 30 words in this lesson. With reference to vocabulary levels of Chinese and the classified method of the first level of Chinese vocabulary by Li Kai (2002), in which the first level of Chinese vocabulary was divided into four grades. The first two levels are the most important words that students should learn well, and the third grade words are less important and the fourth grade are special handling words.In the process of explaining the words, I used pictures, diagrammatic sketch drawing and other methods. The explaining language I used did not exceed the words that the students have learned. The Grammar of this lesson is the meaning and the usage of "了".I lay out many practices so that the students could understand the meaning of the sentence which have a "了" in it.I also carried out a teaching experiment in a twenty South Korean student class after this teaching design is completed. The response of the students was generally good. In the end, I gave the students a test in which the pass rate was 94.7%. I learned that this lesson was successful from that. A lot of students have mastered the content of this course. So the lesson design is feasible, at the same time, I believe that it is possible to teach Chinese to foreigners of primary stage without medium languages.
