This dissertation mainly focuses on foreign students' acquisition of modal particle "Ba" and tries to find out the reason which impacts students' acquisition from the side of the text books.First, on the basis of sorting out the previous research on the usage of "Ba", we divide it into several usages. Mainly, the word "Ba" is using in and behind the original sentence. The "Ba" behind the original sentence can be questioned or known as a question, statement or an end of the imperative. From the modern studies of the Chinese language art, "Ba" is approved, and stated for use of an specific tribe. Secondly, through the analysis of Chinese corpus and interlanguage corpus, we investigate foreign students' acquisition of modal particle "Ba", including using frequency, bias and accuracy. Through the investigation, we can find out which usage of "Ba" the foreign students don't use well. At last, we analyze the texts books to find out the influences on the acquisition, and explained the questions of the practice settings.Through the investigation, we conclude the following main conclusions. The usage of "Ba" which foreign students master best is in the imperative. The accuracy is high and the using frequency is closed to the native speakers". The using frequency of question "Ba" is lower than the native speakers" and it's always confused with other modal particles. The using frequency of statement "Ba" is higher than native speakers". The using frequency of "Ba" in the sentences is very low in each level and isn't acquired in high level. The interpretation of "Ba" in textbooks is not enough and detailed. There are few exercises of "Ba" in the textbooks and lack of special exercises. There is no pragmatic teaching in the textbooks. Those factors about textbooks influence foreign students' acquisition of "Ba"...
