Procrastination is a heat point of the psychological research, many psychologists pay close attention to procrastination. After the related research on condition of college students'procrastination, this paper gives a more clearly outline of the personal factors which affect procrastination and the tentative hypothesis of relationship between stress and procrastination. Besides, it provides some suggestions.As Questionnaires measurement is used as the primary method, this research selected 320 college students as subjects, who come from educational science academy and foreign language academy. The research tools include Lay Procrastination Scale, College Student Stress Scale and 16PF Scale. There are two aspects in this paper, the one is revising Lay Procrastination Scale, and the other is researching how personality and stress affect procrastination. The conclusion as follows:1. This research has revised Lay Procrastination Scale, and the revised Lay Procrastination Scale has good theoretical validity, structure validity, and internal consistency.2. The study found that on the demographics there are significant differences about the procrastination level of the undergraduates for the differences of gender, age, only child, family income, residence and so on. Especially different grade of students there are an obvious difference of the procrastination level, the procrastination level of sophomore is significantly higher than junior students.3. The study found that comparing with the foreign students the incidences and the degree of the procrastination level for Chinese students is much lower.4. Study found that delays was associated with the dimensions of 16PF personality more obviously, which are warming, stability, perseverance, social boldness, self-discipline and tension. Correlation between warming, stability, perseverance, social boldness and self-discipline was negative significant, was positive significant with tension. Linear correlation was between warming, stability, perseverance, self-discipline, and tension with delays.5. This research found that procrastination and stress significantly related, and they are inclined "V" of nonlinear relationships. Lowest procrastination degree exists in moderate stress level. Both high level and low level of stress cause the increasing of procrastination. But they generally present ascending trend in high level of stress. In another words once stress level improve, then the degree of procrastination increase.
