A Discussion Of Yuan Dynasty's War Against Asian During Kublai's Reign

After the rulers of Yuan Dynasty dominated the Central Plains, they adopted various kind of cultures such as Mongolian, han and yi to rule on the Yuan Dynasty. However, the conquest thought of Mongolian nationality has been influencing the foreign policy of Mongolian. In order to realized his grand aspiration of "conquering the world" , Kublai Khan frequently launched military conquest to Japan , Annam, Champa Kingdom, Burma, Java ,and other Asian countries,and eventually ended in failure. The series of foreign wars launched by Kublai have far-reaching influence throughout the whole history of Asia. On the one hand, the war has caused enormous damage to China and the neighboring countries, leading the domestic public of Yuan Dynasty being with their family broken up and decimated because of the war, people in Asian countries are living in misery. On the other hand, the Yuan Dynasty strengthened the relations between the Mainland and border areas through foreign wars, which influence the exchanges of economic, culture and other fields between China and other Asian countries. This paper intend to elaborate the following aspects such as the cause of the war, the power of the war, the process of the war, the reason of failure, the impact of the war, and so on.
