Yue Fei is a famous general to resist the aggressors of the Southern Song dynasty. And the story about him is popular among the masses over hundreds of years. At the beginning of Yuan dynasty, traditional drama concerning Yue Fei had existed among the people. Through continual improvement, it has been forming a huge art system gradually. As a historical figure, Yue Fei was shaped into a vivid artistic figure, And his stories was appeared on nationwide drama stages.Now,It is a full mature period to study Yue Fei. Whether history or literature, there are so much data about Yue Fei. In terms of traditional dramas, the majority of data focus on the classical writings, material spreading, theme deduction, figural study, etc. But there isn't a comprehensive and systemic research about Yue Fei drama currently. Though some novels and stories involve the drama study, limited on angle, it still has large space to develop independently. From the impact of specific era, social and politic factors to Yue Fei drama, this thesis bases on the drama of Yue Fei in different period, and analyses the subject, content, performance, and so on. Furthermore, the thesis summarizes the Yue Fei drama's overall development.The article's main frame composes five chapters. The introduction reviews and comments the Yue Fei drama's history and present condition, while it shows the subject's academic meaning and study method. The body divides it into five parts and analyses the Yue Fei drama's creation and feature in detail. Chapter one is about the Yue Fei drama of Song and Yuan dynasties. Chapter two concerns the Yue Fei drama on Ming dynasty. Chapter three contains other dramas of Yue Fei in mid-term of Qing dynasty. As for the Yue-Fei drama from the ending of Qing dynasty to the Period of the People Republic of China, it is described in chapter four. And the epilogue sums up briefly the whole development of Yue Fei drama.
