A Comparative Study On Nalanxingde's Poems And Ci-verses

As an excellent litterateur in the Qing Dynasty, Nalanxingde had written a large amount of poems and Ci-verses. According to the study of the theme selection tendency, the content and artistic characteristics, this paper will use the comparative method to explain the differences and similarities between Nalanxingde's poems and Ci-verses. The thesis consists of preface, text (four chapters) and epilogue, as follows:The preface firstly runs back over the research status of Nalanxingde's poems and Ci-verses, then analyzes the significance of the comparative study towards his poems and Ci-verses. Chapterâ… will probe into the life and literature career of Nalanxingde and can be divided into two sections. This chapter will analyze the change of his ideology before and after the Bingchen Palace Examination. And the influence which originated from the ideology change towards his literature creation will be traced to make preparation for the comparative study of poem and Ci-verses within the following three chapters. Chapterâ…¡will compare the theme selection tendency of Nalanxingde's poem and Ci-verses. This chapter has two parts. The first part discusses the original reason of poem and Ci-verses'theme selection, while the second one analyzes the differences as well as similarities in poem and Ci-verses'theme selection. Their differences will be discussed, then their similarities be explored from the viewpoint of love, friendship, journey emotions, lyric poetry,object-chanting poems and history-chanting poems. Chapterâ…¢will compare the content of Nalanxingde's poems and Ci-verses and also has two sections. The first section will reveal the ambition and ideality expressed in his poems. The second section will display the affection in his Ci-verses concerning content of mourning for dead wife, love for lover, anxiety of love from young women as well as friendship. Chapterâ…£will compare the artistic characteristics in Nalanxingde's poems and Ci-verses. This chapter consists of two sections too . Based on the using of figurative rhetoric device, literary quotation, reiterative locution, the first part will discuss the similarities of artistic characteristics in poems and Ci-verses and the second part will demonstrate their differences in the way of artistic conception, the image as well as the language. During the course of spread and acceptance of Nalanxingde's poems and Ci-verses, his Ci-verses enjoys great popularity, while his poems remains unknown for most people, and even many scholar pay no attention to them. The epilogue firstly analyze the objective and subjective reason leads to this study phenomena, then make a summarization for the whole article.
