The Research Of New Words "BeiXX" Philological Phenomenon

This modern Chinese words "Bei(被)XX" is my research object, the new words "Bei XX" is a new term phenomenon poped up on the network from 2009. It consists of "Bei(被)+intransitive Verb", the surface appears to be a asyntatic structure of "Bei(被)".In fact, this language of paradox is used for expressing satire and criticism. New Words " Bei(被)XX" expanded quickly, sharp increased at the rate of several hundred words every year, so this linguistic phenomenon is worth studying. This paper based on previous studies, utilized cognitive linguistics, rhetoric, morphology, Memetics and other correlate theories.It researched comprehensively and systematically the reasons of occurrence, structural features, semantic features, pragmatic value, development trends of the new words "Bei XX", and strive to describe the linguistic phenomenon of new words "Bei XX" more completely.The thesis is divided into four chapters, the first chapter introduces some related researches, then introduced the purposes, values, ideas and methods of my thesis, and finally defining some related concepts and corpus.The second chapter described the cause of the new words " Bei(被)XX". The article discussed it from two respects that causes of inside and outside the linguistic system, in-depth studied the cause of the new words " Bei(被)XX". The language of external cause are mainly related to both objective and subjective factors, the language of internal cause mainly related to the language system self-regulating mechanism, the analogy word formation and the coinage word formation, economic principles, the impact of foreign languages and other factors.ChapterⅢresearched the three levels of the new word " Bei(被)XX" respectively from syntactic, semantic and pragmatic, and reveal the features of the new words" Bei(被)XX". In terms of Syntax the thesis mainly described the syntactic features, constitute forms and syntactic functions of the new words" Bei(被)XX". In terms of semantics, it introduced the type of semantic relationship, semantic relationship analysis, semantic structure nature of the new words " Bei(被)XX". During the process of semantic analysis, described the surface and deep semantic relations of the new words" Bei(被)XX" when the "XX" in the new words" Bei(被)XX" respectively as a verb, adjective, noun. To explain the language of paradox in the new words" Bei(被)XX". In terms of pragmatics, it mainly introduced the pragmatic function and potential reason which impelled the pragmatic function realized.Chapter IV infered the trend of the new word" Bei(被)XX". The introduction of memetics to explain the generated and disseminated way of the new word" Bei(被)XX"; to infer the developement of the new word " Bei(被)XX"; and to indicate the intimate relation with the new word formation rules. The chapter described the formation feature and evidence of the new words " Bei(被)XX", and analysed the feature and prospect of the new words " Bei(被)XX" combined with contemporary Chinese language word formation. In the end, it indicates memetics promoted affixation of the new words" Bei(被)XX", the prevalence of the new words " Bei(被)XX" will drive revolution of new words formation in the Chinese vocabulary system.
