A Study On The Historical Evolution Of Common Words In The "Read" Category

Common words are the core component of Chinese vocabulary.The historical evolution of common words helps us to understand the development of the Chinese vocabulary system.In this article,the eight commonly used verbs “视、观、看、阅、览、读、诵、念” in Chinese are selected as research objects.This paper takes the typical books and texts in each period as a source of corpus,uses the method of conceptual element analysis and data statistics,analyzes the meaning of common words of "read" categories,and incorporates it into the conceptual domain to observe the characteristics and causes in its historical evolution.The full text is divided into six parts:Part Ⅰ: Introduction.This part is mainly to clarify the research objects of this article,introduce the current status of common words in Chinese,and explain research significance,research methods and the literature selected in this paper.Part Ⅱ: Analysis of the righteous bit of common words in the "read" category.This part mainly analyzes the conceptual elements of each member of the "read" category of common words,and infer the development path of its meaning.Part Ⅲ: The historical evolution of common words of "read" category in the view of concept domain.This part discusses the positions of common words of the category of "read" in the "view" concept domain and "read" concept domain,and describes the historical evolution of common words in the "read" category and explains the differences in the distribution of members in the concept domain.Part Ⅳ: The formation and semantic evolution of commonly uses polyphonic words of "read" category.This part selected 9 commonly used polyphonic words formed by the combination of "read" category and described its formation and development.Part Ⅴ: The characteristics and reasons for the evolution of common words of "read" category.This part analyzes the evolution characteristics of common words in the "read" category from the meaning and distribution evolution model of the membership,and explore the reasons for its evolution from the inside of the language and the outside of the language.Part Ⅵ: Conclusion.This part summarizes the full text and explains the limitations of this article.Through the study of the above parts,this paper tried to have a preliminary understanding of the occurrence and development of common words of "read" category.
