The rural society of Huizhou in ming and qing dynasty which enjoyed stable and harmonious atmospyhere with prosperity was also a society governed by feudal ethics system. The Confucian ethic,especially the cheng and zhu ethic theory (originated by cheng yi and cheng hao back in north song dynasty) became the mainstream social value in Huizhou after song and ming dynasty. The intact ethic education system of Huizhou exerted important and positive influence upon the prosperity of society, economy and culture. This paper makes efforts in summarizing features of the Huizhou ethic education by analyzing rural ethic education in Huizhou back in ming and qing dynasty.The first chapter makes a general introduction of the basis of rural ethic education of Huizhou in ming and qing dynasty. Firstly, typically a mountainous area with farming being the primary task for the natives, Huizhou was predestined to follow the farming ethic. The immigration society set the tone of being a society conducted by custom and feudal law. The clan society of Huizhou also determined the ethic education was controlled by local clans. Huizhou is the birthplace of chenghao, cheng yi and zhuxi, founders and developer of the cheng and zhu ethic theory which was the leading theory at that time in Huizhou. Huizhou was given another name—"southeast zoulu". The natives of huizou have healthy and harmonious pursuit of spirit.The second chapter makes a statement over the composition of the rural ethic education in Huizhou. The culture of Huizhou was a kind of local culture and at the same time a typical Chinese traditional and orthodox culture. It reflected and represented the essence of Chinese traditional culture intensively and typically. In general, the rural ethic education of Huizhou presented a truth that it inherited the Confucian ethic and intensively followed the cheng and zhu ethic theory and emphatically unfolded the contents of loyalty and filial piety.The third chapter summarizes the characteristics of contents of rural ethic education in ming and qing dynasty. Considering in terms of composition, the rural ethic education of Huizhou unfolds a structure of trapezia with three levels. With regard to its implication, it highlights the so called queli complex. Viewed from the choice and implementation of contents, it symbolizes the control imposed by clans. In consideration of the extensiveness of the content, it pays attention on public issues and environmental protection.We can get a more clear view of the forming process of the harmonious society of Huizhou back in ming and qing dynasty through our analysis and consideration upon the ethic education of Huizhou. The new era calls upon the brand-new morality. We can enlist the attitude of "absorbing the essence and abandoning the scum" and get the positive points from rural ethic education in purposes of promoting the Chinese excellent culture of tradition.
