The city is the great achievement of human culture development. The process of urbanization in China is in full swing. At present, it is the development of industrialization that the discourse of the path of urbanization is concentrated on, the ethnic regions are no exception. However, the different nationality and even the entire human should have multiplex choices of the way, the path and the direction on realistic condition's improvement or "the developmenf" inevitably. Through dissecting the history of urbanization and industrialization,carrying on the investigation into Yunnan Province, may discover:the development of cultural industries can become a realistic choice of urbanization in the ethnic areas.From it,we can achieve not only the urban expansion, growing income, more important the maintenance and development of cultural diversity, the subject's all-round development, and fulfilling the development-oriented changes of the whole social structure in the ethnic areas Practice shows that the development of cultural industries can break the industrialization path dependence in the process of urbanization,promote the healthy development of urbanization, push urban-rural integration. For the ethnic areas, the cultural industry has an important "cultural and economic" double significance. The city is the best "container", we know now,the various cultures were concentrated,condensed, stored, conserved,digested and selected in it.Morever, national culture only get vitality from mutual communication between national economic situation and living conditions.So, we can conclude that the development of cultural industry in the process of urbanization in the ethnic areas is not only a useful exploreing for the diversity of urbanization, but also gives us better choices on protecting and inheriting national culture.
