The Association Studies With Byeon Gyeryang And The Book Of Songs

As the famous scholar in transition times of Goguryeo and ancient Korea, Byeon gyeryang had lots of knowledge and created many poetry, and the contents covered a wide range. His poetry is not rich in various content and forms but also in high aesthetic value. Nowadays, there has been some study about his literature and ideology in South Korea, however, the study has not been put into the field of comparative literature to conduct the specialized research. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to investigate acceptance and application of Byeon gyeryang to The Book of Songs of China and analyse the affect relationship between them. During the study, the paper will use the theory of impact studies and put the point to the literature viewpoint and poetry literature of Byeon gyeryang, connected with The Book of Songs. At the same time, the paper will analyse the origin from appreciating beauty of his poetry.Chapter Two is "Byeon gyeryang's life and creation". This chapter divides his literature into three different times. The first time is Goguryeo. In this time, the content is royalism. The second time is Joseon Dynasty when he was not in the government. In this period, he described his worry and contradiction in his poetry. The last time is also Joseon Dynasty but in this time he was in the government. The content of his work is royalism to the king of Joseon Dynasty. From the poetry created in different times, the chapter discusses his ideology and emotion.Chapter Three is "The effect of literature of Byeon gyeryang from The Book of Songs" The first section discusses the effect that The Book of Songs gave to his literature viewpoint.' The point is to find out the effect from listing three ideology, divine right, ShiYanzhi and ShiWuxie. Section two is the effect that The Book of Songs gave to his literature. The effect can be divided into two parts. First is the theme of poems and second is the language of poems. In the effect of language of poems, the poetry can be divided into three kinds of works. That is royalism, sincere feelings and ideological beliefs. He described his emotion and thought which he put into the poetry.Byeon gyeryang's ChunTing Collect and The Book of Songs have been chosen for the analysis of this paper. The paper is based on his poetry and the works in The Book of Songs to find out the historical and cultural background and authors' emotion to analyse thematic consciousness in his poetry and how he accepted and applied the effect of The Book of Songs to create his own literature style.
