A Research On "Kechuang Xianhua"

This paper is mainly divided into three parts to the research on "Kechuang Xianhua". Chapter 1 mainly researches author, Wu Chi Chang, of in all his life with related record of events, introduces Wu Chi Chang's thought and combs the edition circumstance. The Wu Chi Chang record of events in all his life is unknow and disappeared to historical data to jot down, so we should conjecture something from "Kechuang Xianhua", on the basis of an integrated analysis, the author suggests that Wu Chi Chang livings a year to define for 1770-1856 years ago, age at about 85 years old; Wu Chi Chang has complicated thought, is deeply affected by Confucianism cultural and at the same time affected by Taoism and Buddhism thought. He has positive thought, such as "rich but very virtuous" money view, simple sexual equality idea and naive civilian thoughts, but he has some backward ideas, such as his loyalty idea to emperor and superstition idea. "Kechuang Xianhua" is mistaken for a work between Tongzhi and Guangxu ages because of it's lack of fresh clear ages and personal special style, on the basis of "General index brief summary of story in Classical Chinese", this paper mostly combs the edition circumstance of "Kechuang Xianhua". Chapter 2 mainly study the story' source and classification of topic contents of "Kechuang Xianhua". The source of story mainly has 3:the affairs happened on author, the talking with guests, using and imitating the previous work. The contents of "Kechuang Xianhua" is abundant, including every aspect of social life, on the whole, the contents of "Kechuang Xianhua" can be divided into seven major types, gods and demons, some anecdotes, satire, issues, humorous story, love story and story of customs. Among them, the story of gods and demons is again divided into story of writing strange things and the story of fairies; the story of some anecdotes is divided into the king and the minister's story, officials staff's story and worldly people's story;the satire's story is divided into to satirize officialdom and imperial examination system, promote virtues and punish evils. Chapter 3 mainly analyse the artistic value of "Kechuang Xianhua", including the following three major objectives:an analysis of the characters, art of narration and language. The characters mainly analyzes characters on female, officials and businessman. The author mainly makes use of the skill of contrast, such as the contrast between person and surroundings environment, the contrast of the attitude to the same thing, and the contrast between the male and female, the last side embodys the author's thought to the female problem and recognition to the survival function of male. Besides, the author uses the description on male's image, detail and environments to set off atmosphere and make a show of person image. On the aspect of narration, the paper analyses the surface structure and the deep structure. Then analyses the plot structure and the plot modes in "Kechuang Xianhua". "Kechuang Xianhua" mainly adopts two kinds of plot structure, single line structure and double line structure, and two kinds of plot modes, "Predicament-rebirth" mode and "Going out- returning" mode. The language of "Kechuang Xianhua" is brevity, truth and vigorousness, without losing literary talent.
