Wu Long-han(1233-1293),named Gu Mei,and another name is Shi Xian.He was born in the family of Neo-Confucianism and devoted himself to poetry all his life.Today,there are five volumes of 171 poems,collected in the Gu Mei Posthumous Manuscript.His poems are rich in subject matter,fresh in artistic conception and full of power as well as elegant in wording,which were also rare in the late southern song dynasty.This thesis takes Wu Long-han and his pomes as the main research obiect,which will focus on the four aspects of Wu Long-han’s life and family history,thoughts and poetry theories,poetic themes and artistic features.In the introduction part,the writer mainly introduces the research significance,research status and spread of Wu Long-han’s poems.The first chapter mainly investigates Wu Long-han’s family history and life.In this part,the writer starts from his family study,carries on the detailed investigation to his family background.Then starting from Wu Long-han’s life,the paper makes textual research on his teacher and the time that he passed the old Chinese examination system.The author makes it clear that Wu Long-han took part in the solution test in the fifth year of Song Jingding and his teacher was Fang Yue.Finally,the writer arranges the life story of Wu Long-han and makes textual criticism of his associations.The second chapter probes into Wu Long-han’s thoughts and his poetry theories.In terms of ideological content,the paper mainly starts from the background of the late Song dynasty and the Yuan dynasty and combines Wu Long-han’s life experience to discuss the differert influences of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism on him in different periods.In the aspect of poetry theory,this paper mainly starts with his poetry creation,and through the analysis of his poems,discusses his propositions of complementation of poetry and painting,holding on Kuyin and the pursuit of elegance.The third chapter explains the theme and emotional purpose of Wu Long-han’s poems.This chapter classifies and summarizes Wu Long-han’s poems from the perspective of poetry subject matter,which can be divided into eight categories: the Drift-themed Poems,Idylls,Historical Poems,Patriotic Poems,Boudoir Resentment Poems,Responding Poems.This paper uses typical examples to analyze and interpret poetry from multiple perspectives,and explores the ideological and emotional implications of poetry.The fourth chapter analyses the artistic features of Wu Long-han’s poems.The artistic features of Wu Long-han’s poems are mainly manifested in four aspects: full of power and momentum in brushwork,taking article as poem,good use of allusions and stability of antithesis.The concluding part summarizes the full text and briefly discusses the value and status of Wu Long-han’s poetry.
