Nowadays there are more and more disasters happen one after one, so it is essential that we should pay attention to the relationship between people and Nature. From the past to the present the description of Nature has never stopped. The Book of Songs and The Songs of Chu are the first two works about Nature in China. After that,Tao Yuanming, Xie Lingyun, Wang Wei, Li Bai and many other scholars have written many works about Nature. Homeric Hymns is one of the early western works about Nature. Many books about the description of Nature appeared in different countries, with the following ones as the master works,Robinson Crusoe, The Voyage Around The World, Silent Spring and so on.The modern Chinese Natural literature started from 1970s with the pioneer Liu Xianping. Liu has a lot of works, most of which focus on Nature. The writer shows Nature and life's dignity and value in a wide visual field. This article tries to clear up the historical development of Natural literature in western countries and in China. The author combined the thought origin of this literature with Liu Xianping's creating ideas. In the analysis of the description objects, the theme of the growth and documentary of human nature and last but not least, the factor of children literature, the writer tries to reveal the aesthetics meaning of those works. This article can be divided into the following four parts:Chapter one is the introduction. In the period when works of Nature was very few, Chinese modern writer Liu Xianping was the first one who took Nature as his key word to define his creating tend and artistic target.Chapter two mainly shows the development and features of Natural literature. In Chinese literature from The Book of Songs and Lisao, one of the works by Qu Yuan, Tao Yuanming, Wang Wei, Li Bai and all those scholars have sung the praises of Nature. In western countries there are lots of works with the similar natural theme, such as Robinson Crusoe, The Voyage Around The World, Silent Spring and so on. The Natural Literature is different from the simple description of Nature, and it is an independent ecological literature.Chapter three is the author's understanding about Liu Xianping's works. Wang Lingyang, Chen Bingzhi and Zhao Qinghe, those guards of Nature are also the objects of Liu's works. Those children such as Zao Zao and Xiao Heihe are growing in the environment of Nature. With the help of scientists and the hard-working of themselves,they have a strong sense of environmental protection. Flora and fauna are also the subjects of Liu Xianping's works.The Natural Literature is the achievement of Liu's adventure and the children literature is close to Natural literature mostly.Chapter four talks about theory that man is an integral part of nature and the value orientation of Natural literature. The theory that man is an integral part of nature is the marrow of Chinese literature. We can find this detail in the works of Meng Zi and Zhuang Zi, in the book of Zhou Yi and Wen Xin Diao Long. Liu Xianping puts forward the idea that human belongs to Nature. He thinks that human and Nature are closely connected and calls on the complement of ecological laws and the establishment of ecological moralities.
