A Study On "Zhou Jiang Mi Jue" Of Song Dynasty

As the culture of the Guqin is gaining more and more attention from the public,the activity of crafting the instrument is becoming more and more active in our view.As a branch of the Guqin culture,it has a long history and contains the wisdom and ideas of generations of predecessors.If we are interested in the development of the special technology,the relevant literature must be a very important point of entry.The article focuses on the Song dynasty literature on Guqin-crafting--Zhuo Jiang Mi Jue,which is included in Qin Yuan Yao Lu.This paper briefly describes the content of Zhuo Jiang Mi Jue.and argues from several perspectives,including comparison with other congeneric texts,comparison with modern theoretical studies,and comparison with the physical objects of the extant Guqin;thus the crafting skills of the author of Zhuo Jiang Mi Jue can be seen.Simultaneously,this article also provides an in-depth summary of its characteristics based on the content of Zhuo Jiang Mi Jue.It is not only the focus on the practice of Guqin-crafting that is presented in the literature,but also the importance attached to the ideological and aesthetic aspects of the art of Guqin-crafting.The so-called ’symbiosis of technic and instrument’ means that the relationship between the technic and the instrument is one of instruction and practice.The Guqin has always carried a profound traditional culture,and Zhuo Jiang Mi Jue is a profound reflection of traditional Chinese Confucianism and Taoism.As one of the representative literature of Guqin-crafting in Song Dynasty,Zhuo Jiang Mi Jue has the characteristics of the times in content,writing style and thought.And many of the viewpoints and methods in the literature are corresponding to other literatures and modern science,which have some reference value for our practice of study of the instrument today.More importantly,the ideas contained therein are of great significance in guiding the practice of Guqin-crafting today.Ding Chengyun,the famous Guqin master,said,"The inheritance of Guqin should preserve its cultural spirit as much as possible." The traditional culture embodied in Zhuo Jiang Mi Jue is well worth learning and inheriting.
