Harmony between human being and nature was considered congtinuously as the basic characteristic of Chinese philosophy.However,as the scientific culture have exuded in China gradually since the modern times,the idea of "nature" in Chinese traditional philosophy has also been changed along with the people accept the scientific idea unceasingly.On one hand,the external nature has been "dispeled the demon"gradually by the science and has become the objective object which might be structured or be conquered; On the other hand,along with the inflates of the human knowledge and the desire unceasingly,the human beings also gradually become estranged the nature in spirit.The original nature which was intimate to human beings is retiring gradually to us.Could the nature still be a field where the human beings can occupy and follow? Facing such problem,Jin Yuelin seeks to find the road of reconstructing the nature bases on Chinese traditional philosophy along with facing the challenge of Western scientific culture.Facing the condition of the inexactness between the human beings and nature,Jin Yuelin has differentiated the nature both in the aspects of ontology and theory of knowledge which attempts to eliminate the tension between the human and the nature,the fact and the value,the science and humanities.To Jain yuelin'opinion,the nature in the aspect of ontology is the evolution of Tao which performs a course from Wu Chi to Tai Chi,while the nature in the aspects of theory of knowledge is the nature and the fact field which is performed by a course which is called change naturalness to nature and change natural to fact.Compare with Western and in the Chinese traditional nature,Jin Yuelin's nature in the aspect of ontology and the theory of knowledge both has its own characteristics.At the same time,the aim to discriminate is for unifies both better.While he elaborate the nature both in the aspects of ontology and theory of knowledge,Jin yuelin attempts to unify them by studying the exterior object in the aspect of theory of knowledge.However,because of the intrinsic tensity which is difficault to avoid between the logic analysis method and the aim to unify science and the humanities,the fact and the value,the work that he try to unify ontology and the theory of knowledge is not successful.To Jain yuelin'opinion,to unify ontology and the theory of knowledge is return to nature in a certain extent.Returning to nature includes returning to the intrinsic nature and the external nature.Compares with the Modern New Confucianism,Jin Yuelin doesn't generally discuss returning to the external nature.At the same time,he pay much attention to the imply which supply same possibility to establish the psychic relation between the human beings and the nature,however,he attach importance to the clarity and the universal value of the concept and the proposition'meaning which causes Jin Yuelin to repel imply in the theory of knowledge.Thus he has cut off the possibility which unify both the human beings and the nature to a certain extent.In order to oppose the anthropocentrism and egocentrism in the Western mainstream,Jin Yuelin discussed returning to the intrinsic nature so much.However,As a result of his humanity pessimistic and its own systemic reason about his ontology,his road to return to intrinsic nature still has many problems.His student Feng Qi found many questions in his natural thought and have developed his many viewpoints in the foundation of inheritance.
