The treaty port of Jiujiang effect the structure of Jiangxi foreign trade firstly .Especially the traditional handicrafts and mining-based merchandise trade has take a great change, such as the volume, the value and the types have been increased. By analyzing the pattern evolution of Jiangxi foreign trade, we can get some points. First, trade is the direct external power of the developed of Jiangxi modern industrial .Not only can promotes the transformation of the traditional handicrafts and modern mining industry, but also can laid a solid foundation for Jiangxi modern industry. Second, the unbalance of trade structure delayed in traditional handicraft industry and mining of successful transition. In the long way in Jiangxi, exported crude products, mining of raw materials , but imported consumer goods. All this were the primary mode. A good advantage conversion has not been formed in there, thus impeding the process of development of modern industry.
