The Application And Development Of Fieldwork In Chinese Ethnomusicology

This thesis is research on related national musicology history and fieldwork dissertations from 1980 to 2010 by adopting theme illustration methodology, and it illustrated the application situation and development tendency of fieldwork in the field of Chinese national musicology. Furthermore, it summarized features on national musicology fieldwork by its reports and musical ethnographies in past 30 years.This article analyzed the theory and methodology of several major literatures in western national musicology fieldwork, confirmed conception and views of western fieldwork, as well as the fieldwork development of western national musicology. Based on it, author presented Chinese learners'understanding on fieldwork theory, methodology, concept and opinions up to now, together with fieldwork development in China. Meanwhile the author took three typical literatures of Chinese traditional music period during 50-60s and published ethnographies in core national journals during 1980 to the present as examples, deeply analyzed features of Chinese national musicology fieldwork in three periods of time:during 50-60s,80-90s and 21 century, and summarized the breakthroughs of fieldwork methodology and research reports modes applied in the ethnographies.
