Research On The Guard House Of The Area Of Ji Town And The Situation Of Personnel Life In Ming Dynasty

During the Ming Dynasty, Ji Zhen area is a significant military region in the north,it played an important role in the northern border of defense system. Ji Zhen area established in Jia Jing Dynasty twenty-nine years(1550), sphere of jurisdiction of its constantly expands, From Ji Zhou state to other regions,which include Yong Ping, Chang Ping, MiYun and so on. In these areas, the Guard House have become the foundation of Ji Zhen area.There are different status of person in the Guard House,from the military level,it includs two big system: military persons and non-military persons. Military persons are mainly the officers of Guard House, the flag army of Guard House and recruiting soldiers; Non-military persons are mainly Citizenship personsl and military family members. The condition of life of these persons reflects on the threat of the military's right in the Guard House in the Ji Zhen area, they are so low social status that they do not enjoy the fun of life, the army fighting of Guard House has decreased, fugitive phenomenon more and more serious.in addition, price of commodities and the fiscal crisis ofMing Dynastgovernment affected the officer's income,the condition oflife became very harsh,This led to the corruption within officers in the Guard House. with the living situations of the persons in the Guard House greatly influenced the development of the Guard House in Ji Zhen area.
