Objective:To discuss the diagnosis and treatment of acute mesenteric venousthrombosis (AMVT).Methods:37patients treated with AMVT admitted in our hospital from July,1994toSeptember,2012were studied retrospectively. They were divided them into twogroups according to the admission time: the1994-2003(group Ⅰ) and the2003-2012(Group Ⅱ). Most patients in groupⅠreceived surgical treatment, and mostpatients in GroupⅡreceived anticoagulation treatment, also observe the patient'scondition closely, while if there are any indications for surgery of acute peritonitis, the surgery should be terminated immediately. Compared and analyzed the length ofstay, the cure rates and the mortality rates between the two groups. Results:The stay days in two groups was vs ((22.78±2.05)d (12.80±1.67d;thecure rate increased from was from55.6%(group Ⅰ) to89.4%(groupⅡ).themortality decreased from44.4%(group Ⅰ) to10.6%(groupⅡ). Significantdifference were found stay days, cure rate and mortality between two groups(all P<0.05).Conclusions:CT scanning appears to be the first and primary diagnostic test ofchoice when AMVT is suspected. Timely diagnosis and prompt anticoagulat therapycan ensure satisfactory treament outcomes in patients with AMVT, also is the key toimproving the prognosis of patients.
