Purpose: To study the disciplinarian between clinical syndrome and pathological changes of AMI. To evaluate the effect of Interventional Procedure Based on Infusing Papaverine via Superior Mesenteric Artery for AMI.Method: The animals after superior mesenteric artery embolization were randomly divided into groups of ischemia for 3, 6 and 12 hours. Each group includes 4 animals. The animals were put to death and received Pathological observation. The interventional therapy procedure used in the study: it based on perfusing Papaverine via superior mesenteric artery, and according to the different causes of disease, it should be done together with other treatment methods. Results: All of the experimental subjects had ischemia changing in general observation and had better group consistency, and the longer ischemic time the heavier the injury will be.There was an obvious transition zone between severe ischemic and non-ischemic bowel, which showed mild ischemic injury. There were 11 dogs suffering intestinal hemorrhage of 12 dogs. 59 patients were accepted. The technical success rate was 98%. Cure rates was 86.4%; improved rates was 6.8%; short bowl syndrome rates was 1.7% and death rate was 5.1%. No relapse during follow-up period. Conclusion: The animal models in this study had high comparability with clinical cases. This method had the following characteristics: be simple to operate, good reproducible and better group consistency. We could find intestinal hemorrhage in the experimental animals of mucosal necrosis, so clinical bloody stool was not necessary the absolute indication of laparoscopic exploratory operation. For the first time, this study brings forward one new treatment to mesenteric ischemia result from many different etiological factors, based on infusing papaverine via superior mesenteric artery. The therapy based on infusing papaverine via superior mesenteric artery has the privilege of simplicity of operator and positive curative effect, which, definitely, can decrease the mortality of mesenteric ischemia ,should be the first selected method in the treatment of mesenteric ischemia .
