Studies On The Law Of Choosing Acupoints For The Treatment Of Melasma

ObjectiveThrough organizing (putting in data) the data about the acupuncture prescription for Melasma from a research based on an extensive analysis of TCM clinical treatises on acupuncture treatment on Melasma. To summarize and analyze the law of choosing acupoints of acupuncture and moxibustion treatment for Melasma, in order to list an acupoint treatment recipe that is effective and can be applied as standard model for Melasma- treatment.MethodsAcpuncture and Melasma are used as key words,we retrieved and selected TCM clinical treatises on acupuncture treatment on Melasma from 2000 to 2009 by examing Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), emphasis was put on analyzing the most frequently used acupoints and the law of combining points.ResultsAcupoints for Melasma treatment are almost on eight meridians,15 acupoints are frequently used as main point when treating Melasma. Meanwhile, acupoints related to The Bladder Meridian of Foot-Taiyang are most used. ConclusionST36,SP6,LI11,SP10are mainly used to treat Melasma. Adjunct acupuncture points matching acupoints are accorting to patients healthcondition, the points from the local area and the whole body are select together.
