The Establishment Of Allergen Database Of Species In Shandong Province

Objective While the allergen databases abroad have been developed, there is no allergen database to be established in our country. Because of having different species, different areas formed different allergen community. It is very necessary to collect allergen message in one district and to establish a database for inquiring and researching allergen information conveniently. Moreover, the established allergen database will be essential tools to analysis and predict protein sequence. This article aims to make clear the main allergen species in Shandong province, and to establish allergen database, in order to inquire allergen information conveniently, narrow the range and improve the accuracy of allergen test. Methods Firstly, we choose an allergen database abroad (mainly Japanese allergen database) which is similar to Shandong province in geographical location and species distribution. To refer to the way of organizing the information in database, and with the help of library and internet resources to collect allergen information that coincident with Shandong species characteristics, find out and confirm main allergen of Shandong province existed. Results According to which species allergens are from, allergen database categorized allergens into animal, plant, fungus, insect, mite, gliandin, protozoan, worm, venom/salivary, and people can inquire allergen information on source, allergen name, latin name, English name, epitope structure, union protein accession number (UniProt Acc), glycoprotein structure and description. Finally, we based external interlinkage by which people can inquire the allergen protein sequence and gene sequence information. Conclusions It is very important for making clear the main allergen species in Shandong province and making allergen test accurately to establish allergen database of Shandong province that consistent with Shandong species characteristics, which is also significant for improving the level of allergic disease's prevention and cure. Meanwhile, it will provide the first-phase preparation for protein monomer's isolation and purification based on the established allergen database.
