Objective: Based on the research of expression levels for tyrosine phosphatase PRL-3 and the cell cycle in gastric carcinoma of the protein p27 and gastric cancer biology, this paper discusses the relationship between the behavior of gastric carcinoma and the above levels ,and the mutual relationship among them. Methods: By immunohistochemical PV-9000 method to detect 80 cases of gastric carcinoma PRL-3, p27 expression levels. Each specimen cases contain cancerization and peficancerous tissues, the control group by cancer organizations is 5cm away above the cancerous tissue. Preoperative patients did not accept any fighting cancer treatment. Results: (1) The positive expression rate 61.25% (49/80) gastric carcinoma PRL-3 was significantly higher than that of peficancerous tissues which was (35.00%, 28/80, P < 0.05), and there was relevant between the expression level and infiltration depth, lymph node metastasis, TNM staging (P < 0.05).(2) Gastric carcinoma p27 protein positive expression rate 40% (32/80) was significantly lower than that of the peficancerous tissues (93.75%, 75/80, P < 0.05), there was also relevant between its expression level and differentiation degree, infiltration depth, lymph node metastasis, TNM staging (P < 0.05); (3) The expression level of PRL-3 in gastric carcinoma was negatively correlated to that of p27 (P <0.05, r =- 0.259).Conclusions: PRL-3 expression in gastric carcinoma was higher. p27 protein expression was lower, compared with the peficancerous tissues expression. PRL-3, p27 protein expression is closely related to infiltration depth of stomach lymph of stomach cancer node metastasis, TNM staging PRL-3, p27 protein expression was a negative correlation between strength level. PRL-3 can inhibit the expression of p27 protein, substrate solution to promote and increase the invasiveness of gastric cancer cells, playing an important role of resulting in gastric carcinoma invasion and metastasis. Both are expected to provide new mode and broad prospects for the early diagnosis and treatment in clinical cancer field.
