Expression Of Her-2 In Gastric Carcinoma And Metastatic Lymph Nodes And Normal Gastric Tissues

Objective:To investigate the expression of Her-2 in different tissues of gastric carcinoma. Method:The expression of Her-2 in the tumor tissue from 56 patients with gastric carcinoma,including normal gastric tissues,primary foci and metastatic lymph nodes,were examined by immunohistochemically methond. The relationship between Her-2 expression pathologic parmeters was analyzed. Result:(1) The positive rates of Her-2 in normal gastric, primary foci and metastatic lymph nodes tissues were respectively 3.4%,14.3%,12.5%,The expression of Her-2 was more frequently detected in the primary foci and metastatic lymph nodes than in the normal gastric tissues, there is no significant difference between primary foci and metastatic lymph nodes. (2)In the 56 samples,the consistency of the types of Her-2 expressions between primary foci and metastatic lymph nodes, normal gastric tissues was 89.3% and 94.6%,respectively. However,in the samples with Her-2 expressions,the consistency of the types of Her-2 expressions between primary foci and metastatic lymph nodes, normal gastric tissues was 100%(2/2),85.7%(6/7),respectively. (3) The expression of Her-2 has no correlation with gender, ethnicity, age and the degree of differentiation. Conclusion:The test results of the lymph node metastasis have some reference value when detecting the Her-2 expression of gastric carcinoma,but,gastric carcinoma should be considered Her-2 expressions when the normal gastric mucosa have been detected Her-2.
