Purpose: To investigate the growth trends and health situation on children in 10 provincial model kindergartens of Changhcun city, understand the health situation of preschool children and the main problems, in order to provide a scientific basis for the development of policies to improve child health and health care management to improve the level of kindergarten children.Methods: Randomly selected 200 preschool children with 2years old from 889 children coming from 10 provincial model kindergartens in the year of 2008, follow up the height and weight till to 2011, collected the data of height and weight, analyze the trends. Investigate the detection of dental caries, vision screening situation, hemoglobin and minerals matter (zinc, iron, calcium, magnesium, copper) to the 5246 kindergartens coming from 10 provincial model kindergartens from 2008 to 2011. To analysis the data using SAS statistical software, calculate the significance of count data using chi-square test.Result:1. The annually average increase value of height was 8.82 cm, 7.14 cm and 6.21 cm, the annually average increase value of weight was 9.04 kg, 7.25 kg and 6.23 kg of the investigated 200 children from 2008 to 2011.The rate of hypoevolutism in the 200 investigated children in 2008 was 6.5%, which decrease to 2.00 % in 2011, the decrease trend was present; The rate of low body weight children was 4.50% in 2008, which decrease to 2.00 % in 2011, the decrease trend was present; The reate of hypomegasoma children, overweight children decrease and obese children was 11.00%; 10.00% and 3.00% respectively in 2008, and increase to 13.50 %, 15.00 % and 8.00% in 2011, the increase trend was present.2. The detection rate of deficiency of zinc, iron, calcium, magnesium, copper was 53.66%, 10.91%, 19.82%, 4.72%, 0% in the year of 2008; it was 29.16%, 24.35%, 15.87%, 0.18%, 0.12% in the year of 2011.3. The detection rate of anaemia was 0.29% in the year of 2009, it was 0.90% in the year of 2011. There are significant difference on case detection rate of anaemia between male and female of children in the year of 2011.4. The abnormal rate of vision screening was 6.97%, 4.83%, 4.82% and 3.97% from 2008 to 2011. The abnormal case rate of vision was very high to the children with 5 to 6 years old from 2008 to 2011.5. The incidence of dental caries of children was 64.90 in the year of 2008, and decrease to 60.85% in 2011 (p<0.05), calculate the total data of annum, the incidence of dental caries of male children was 63.6%, significantly higher than female, which was 60.9% (p<0.05). During the year of 2008 and 2010, the incidence of dental caries of 5 and 6 years old children was significantly higher than that incidence of 2 to 4 years old children (p<0.05). The incidence of dental caries for the children with iron deficiency was significantly higher than that of the normal children (p<0.05).Conclusion1. The annual increase value of body height of 2 to 5 years old children was 7.39 cm, annual increase value of body weight was 2.59 kg, higher than the nationwide every level.2. The rate of hypoevolutism children and low body weight children present decreasing trend; the rate of hypomegasoma children, overweight children decrease and obese children present increasing trend.3. The incidence of obese children in kindergartens was still under higher level.4. The detection rate of deficiency of zinc and iron was decreased annually, but calcium was increased annually.5. The tendency of abnormal visual acuity was happened at 2-4 years old, it is the important age for preservation of abnormal visual acuity.6. The prevention of dental caries for 2-4 years old children was very important.
