Objective: Medicine is a very practical career. The standard of a qualified physician can be achieved only by accepting specific clinical medical education. Specialist training is an important stage in the growth of young doctors; it's to enable rapid growth of young doctors in medical backbone of professional and technical personnel by carrying out specialist training. This study should lay a well foundation to test the effect of specialist training in order to reveal the main factors that impact the specialist training, carry out a wide range specialist training in follow-up and train qualified excellent specialists. Methods: The master's graduates who entered A hospital in 2009 to participate in regular training specialist were chosen as the experimental group (43 persons); the master's graduates coming from the B hospital which did not carry out specialist training and going into the hospital in the same year with the experimental group subjects were chosen as the control group A (39 persons); the master's graduates coming from the A hospital going into the hospital in the 2008 were chosen as the control group B (42 persons). It took one year for training the experimental group in general specialist training. There were not any interventions on the two control groups. It conducted the 9 basic medical skills, theoretical knowledge, clinical practice examination and the two clinical thinking levels on three groups before and after training at the same time. The test results of three groups before and after training changes and the main factors which affected the results were analyzed. Results: The test results before and after training did not follow a normal distribution and heterogeneity of variance. All data processed on non-parametric test.1. The comparison of the mean of 9 item improving value of test results in the three physician factor had all statistically significant (P<0.05), and the experimental group is higher than the control group.2. The comparison of three physicians' improving value of test mean in the two clinical thinking level had all statistically significant (P<0.05), and the experimental group was higher than the control group.3. The logistic regression analysis between 7 factors operating in the 11 test results showed that whether or not the master in the same professional was a factor of the general examination(P=0.035). Ethnic was a factor for CPR operation test result (P=0.004) and aseptic technique (P=0.001).4. Three physicians'improving value of patient satisfaction before and after training was compared. The results showed that the values in three groups were all increased. But the value of the experimental group was the highest percentage of patient satisfaction.Conclusion:1. General specialist training can improve the clinical practice of the master graduates and clinical thinking skills.2. Race and whether or not the Master in the same professional each may be factors for CPR operation test result, aseptic technique, case analysis and general examination. 3. General specialist training plays a certain role on the improvement of patient satisfaction.
