Relationship Between The Levels Of HO-1 With Coronary Lesion In Acute Coronayr Syndrome Patients

Objective:To investigate relationship between the levels of heme oxygenase-1 (heme oxygenase-1 HO-1) with coronary lesion in acute coronary syndrome (acute coronary syndrome, ACS) patients.Method:68 patients who had complained chest pain were received selective coronary angiography. All patients were divided into normal control group (n=20), unstable angina group (n=23) and acute myocardial infarction group (n=25). UAP group and AMI group were divided into single-vessel group, double vessel group and three vessel group; According to Gensini score, UAP group and AMI group were also divided into less than or equal to 20 group,21 to 40 group and more than 40 Group. The levels of HO-1 were determined by ELISA. Results:The level of HO-1 in UAP group (8.23±1.44 ng/mL) and AMI group (13.39±2.14 ng/mL) were significantly higher than that in normal control group (6.02±1.08 ng/mL). The level of HO-1 in AMI group (13.39±2.14 ng/mL) was significantly higer than UAP group (8.23±1.44 ng/mL) (P <0.05). In UAP group, the level of HO-1 in Gensini score less or equal to 20 group was (7.14±1.07 ng/mL),21 to 40 group was (8.42±1.29 ng /mL), more than 40 group was (9.40±1.50 ng/mL),and there were significant differences in each group(P<0.05). In AMI group, the level of HO-1 in Gensini score less or equal to 20 group was (8.06±0.79 ng/ mL),21 to 40 group was (9.38±1.03 ng/mL), more than 40 group was (11.40±1.79 ng/mL),and there were significant differences in each group(P <0.05). In UAP group, the level of HO-1 in single-vessel group was (6.92±1.04 ng/mL), double vessel group was (8.46±0.94 ng/mL) and in three vessel group was (9.89±1.50 ng/mL), and there were significant differences in each group(P<0.05). In AMI group, the level of HO-1 in single-vessel group was (8.92±1.12 ng/mL), double vessel group was (10.21±1.97 ng/mL), three vessel group was (12.62±2.16 ng/mL), and there were significant differences in each group(P<0.05).Conclusions:The levels of HO-1 in ACS,patients were increased with the severity of coronary lesion.The level of HO-1 should predict the severity of coronary lesion in ACS patients.
