Chinese Yam is the rhizoma of Dioscorea opposita Thunb of Dioscorea plants, sweet flavor,neutral in nature, has the effect of invigorating the spleen,nourishing the stomach and invigorating the lung and kidney. Chinese Yam both invigorates the temper, and advantances the splenic yin, as well stop diarrhea beacause of the astringent nature, can be used for the treatment of scikness such as less eat because of splenic asthenia,without end of long diarrhea,chronic enteritis,chronic gastritis,cough and dyspnea result from lung deficiency,adynamic fever diabetes,emission with renal asthenia and enuresis fluor and so on. As Chinese yam's strong viscosity,uneasy to dry,easy to brown stain and othen reasons, it's processing technology has been a challenge. This article explores a low-cost,simple process,easy to promote processing technology of pieces of sulfur-free Chinese yam, optimizes processing technology condition, and makes mice spleen deficiency model with rhubarb, compares the effect on model mice's common symptoms,the body weight,gastric emptying rate,intestinal propulsion rate and spleen index and thymus index with pieces of sulfur-free Chinese yam,sulfur-fumigate Chinese yam and freeze-drized Chinese yam, verifies the effectiveness of pieces of sulfur-free Chinese yam, provides the basis of production and clinical treament for pieces of sulfur-free Chinese yam.Objective:To optimize the processing technology of pieces of sulfur-free Chinese yam, and investigate the effect on gastrointestinal function in model of spleen deficiency mice with pieces of sulfur-free Chinese yam, provides the basis of production and clinical treament for pieces of sulfur-free Chinese yam.Methods:The processing technology of pieces of sulfur-free Chinese yam in this article is:Fresh Chinese yams peeled,washed, cut into 3 mm suqare pieces, paved thinness, placed in the blast drier, dried to dry the surface with the higher temperature(phaseⅠblast drying:temperature 100—130℃,time 45—75min), then blasted drying to dry with the low-temperature(phaseⅡblast drying:temperature 45—75℃). In order to minimize the loss of active ingredients, to ensure the drug efficacy, we optimizes the conditions of two blast drying phase, using the contents of polysaccharide and allantoin in Chinese yam as investigation index, deploying orthogonal experiment and singal factor optimization.Study of pieces of sulfur-free Chinese yam's effect on gastrointestinal function in model of spleen deficiency mice:Make mice spleen deficiency model by feeding with water extract of rhubarb, then gavage water extract of Chinese yam, compare the effect on spleen deficiency model mice's general symptoms,the body weight,feces,gastric emptying rate,intestinal propulsion rate and spleen index and thymus index with different pieces of Chinese yams.Result:1. The optimization process of phaseⅠblast drying using the contents of polysaccharide as investigation index is A3B2, using the contents of polysaccharide as investigation index is A2B2, intepted to the actual stituation, the best processing technology is A2B2, drying 60min in 115℃;the optimization drying condition of phaseⅡblast drying is 65℃.2. Compared with model group, pieces of sulfur-free Chinese yam can improve the general symptoms of spleen deficiency model mice and increase the body weight, inhibit gastric emptying and intestinal propulsion, except bvious effect on spleen index and thymus index ascepts. There have no differernces among sulfur-free Chinese yam,sulfur-fumigate Chinese yam and freeze-drized Chinese yam, this can indicate that the three pieces of Chinese yam have same effect.Conclusions:The processing technology of pieces of sulfur-free Chinese yam achieved from optimization, this technology has many advantages such as convennient,cost lowly,good tast and the low loss of active ingredients and so on; this pieces of sulfur-free Chinese yam have effect on gastrointestinal function in spleen deficiency model mice, this pieces have same pharmacologic action with sulfur-fumigate Chinese yam and freeze-drized Chinese yam and as a choice in clinical medication.
