[Objective]To observe the effects of Xuelian on the blood fat and C-reactive protein of rats with atherosclerosis, and discuss whether it has the effect of anti-atherogenic on the experiment atherosclerosis rats.[Methods] 45 male Wistar rats were randomly divided into three groups: control group (C, n = 15), model group (A, n = 15), Xuelian group (X, n = 15). The control group were fed in normal conditions and gastric gavaged with distilled water, model group and Xuelian group were given a single dose of vitamin D(3) and fed a high-cholesterol diet for 4 weeks to induce atherosclerosis.Model group were gastric gavaged with distilled water and Xuelian group were given Xuelian injection (0.8 ml/kg). After 30 days, animals were executed. The rats'thoracic aorta were stained with hematoxylin-eosin and observed by microscopic. Automatic biochemistry analyzer was applied to measure total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), low-density lipoprotein (LDL-C), high-density lipoprotein (HDL-C), The level of C-reactive protein were examined by enzyme-linked immuno sorbent assay (ELISA) method.[Results] The level of serum TG,TC and LDL-C in the control group and Xuelian group were significantly decreased(P<O.05) compared with model group,The level of serum HDL-C in the control group and Xuelian group were significant higher than the model group.The level of serum CRP in the Xuelian group were significantly lower than the model group.[Conclusion](1)Xueliacan reduce the level of serum TG,TC and LDL-C in the experiment atherosclerosis rats, meanwhile, it can upregulate the level of serum HDL-C.(2)Xuelian can reduce the level of serum CRP in the experiment atherosclerosis rats.(3)Xuelian can prevent the development of atherosclerosis. |
