Objective:The purpose of our study was to investigate the ralationship between ACE I/D polymorphism and Plasma PRA, Angâ…¡levels in preeclampsia. To predict theory basis for revealing pathogenesis of preeclampsia.Method:The method of Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and radioimmunoassay were conduceted to examina ACE gene polymorphism and plasma PRA, Angâ…¡levels.Result:1.The distribution of ACE gene polymorphism between the preeclampsia group and the control group:The frequency ofâ…¡genotype in the preeclampsia group was significantly lower than in the control group (P<0.05);the frequency of ID genotype and DD genotype were no significantly difference between the preeclampsia group and the control group (P>0.05). the frequency of D allele was significantly higher in the preeclampsia group than in the control group(P<0.01);in addition, the I allele frequency was significantly higher in the normal group than in the preeclamsia group,too(P<0.05).2. The leves of plasma PRA,Angâ…¡with pureâ… gene and D allele between the preeclampsia group and the control group:The levels of plasma PRA,Angâ…¡with pureâ… gene were no significantly difference between the preeclampsia group and the control group (P>0.05);the D allele had lower plasma PRA levels in the preeclampsia group than in the control(P<0.01);but we did not find significantly difference about plasma Ang II levels with D allele between the preeclampsia group and the control group (P>0.05).3. The levels of plasma PRA, Angâ…¡with differernt ACE genotypes between the preeclampsia group and the control group:Plasma PRA levels in DD genotype was lower than in ID genotype(P<0.01);ID genotype had lower plasma PRA levels thanâ…¡genotype(P<0.05);and DD genotype had significantly lower plasma PRA levels thanâ…¡genotype,too(P<0.01);wo also did not find significantly difference about plasma Angâ…¡levels between differernt ACE genotypes (P>0.05).Conclusion:1.We concluded that ACE I/D polymorphism associated with preeclampsia, and D allele was a genetic susceptible factor for preeclampsia.2. ACE I/D polymorphism had no associated with plasma Angâ…¡levels in preeclampsia.3.D allele of ACE I/D polymorphism associated with the change of plasma PRA levels in preeclampsia.ACE I/D polymorphism may participate in the pathophysiology of preeclampsia by changing the levels of plasma PRA.
