Clinical Research On Zhike Pingchuan Soft Capsule In The Treatment Of Acute Exacerbation Of Chronic Bronchitis And The Impact On Serum TNF-α

Objective:To observe the Zhike Pingchuan Soft Capsule in the treatment of acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis(Lung Phlegm-Turbidity and Kidney Deficiency Syndrome) in patients with symptoms of improvement and the impact on serum levels of TNF-α,an objective evaluation of its clinical effect.Methods:Selected acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis(Lung Phlegm-Turbidity and Kidney Deficiency Syndrome)78 cases of patients,in the use of randomized, placebo, double-blind control method, divided into three groups:high-dosage treatment group(26 cases),middle-dosage treatment group (26 cases) and control group (26 cases).The high and the middle dosage treatment group were given oral Zhike Pingchuan Soft Capsule in different dose,while the control group was given the simulator of Zhike Pingchuan Soft capsule in treatment.Before and after the treatment,patients were observed with symptoms of improvement and serum levels of TNF-α.Results:1.Zhike Pingchuan Soft Capsule in the treatment of acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis is significant in clinical effect.The total effective rate was 92.31% in the high dosage group,88.46% in the middle dosage group,23.07% in the control group;the control rate was 80.77% in the high dosage group,73.08% in the middle dosage group,7.69% in the control group.By comparison,the total effective rate and the control rate both in the high dosage group and the middle dosage group are better than the control group(P<0.05),and the difference between the high dosage group and the middle dosage group was unsignificant(P>0.05)2.Zhike Pingchuan Soft Capsule can significantly alleviate the symptoms of cough,expectoration in acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis. Cough onset time was for 3.45±1.65 days in the high dosage group, 3.36±1.48 days in the middle dosage group,4.13±1.87 days in the control group;cough cure time was for 5.33±1.11 days in the high dosage group,5.48±1.02 days in the middle dosage group,6.20±0.84 days in the control group. By comparison,the high dosage group and the middle dosage group were more effective in alleviating cough onset time and cough cure time than the control group(P<0.05).The difference between the high dosage group and the middle dosage group was unsignificant(P>0.05)3.Zhike Pingchuan Soft Capsule can reduce the acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis in patients with serum levels of TNF-αsignificantly lower than before treatment,the difference was significant(P>0.05)Conclusion:1.Zhike Pingchuan Soft Capsule can be effective in improving acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis in patients with symptoms.2.Zhike Pingchuan Soft Capsule can reduce the acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis in patients with serum levels of TNF-α.3.Zhike Pingchuan Soft Capsule has a significant clinical efficacy with no adverse reactions.
