Investigation Of Awareness And Compliance Of Hypertension Treatment In Young And Middle-aged With Hypertension Of Qingdao

Objective:We investigated the blood pressure and the hypertension related knowledge and behavior of young and middle aged with hypertension in Qingdao, to filtrate the factors that affect blood pressure control, therapy compliance and awareness.Methods:We enrolled young and middle aged with primary hypertension that admitted to our hospital between Jan 2009 and Sep 2010. A total of 1870 hypertensive objectives were investigated, including 1094 male and 776 female. The mean age was 48.5 years old. We designed the "The Questionmaire of Primary Hypertension Cognize and Compliance" to investigate face to face and collect the basic information, blood pressure awareness and therapy compliance.Results:1. Baseline investigation of these objections showed that the blood pressure control rate of young and middle aged with hypertension was low, and the hypertension awareness and therapy compliance were bad;2. The basic information affected the hypertension awareness and therapy compliance; Blood pressure monitoring was positive correlated with medication compliance;3. Single factor and multi-variate logistic regression showed the affecting factors of blood pressure control involved in blood pressure monitoring, lifestyle compliance and medication compliances.Conclusion:The awareness and therapy compliance of young and middle aged with primary hypertension was low in Qingdao; The compliance of blood pressure monitoring, medication and lifestyle compliance could affect the blood pressure control rate in these patients; Further work should focus on the home and community management of hypertension.
