Objective:To observe the effect of Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation(rTMS) on Parkinson's disease (PD), and to prove the advantages of superiority in motor function of PD treated with rTMS, which will provide a new clinical recovery way for the PD patients.Methods:Twenty-two PD subjects were randomly divided into control group(Group A) and treatment group(Group B) using a cross-over design. The subjects in Group A received rTMS(Instrument A) and placebo-rTMS(Instrument B) in order in 10 days each course, 2 courses in total. Group B was under Instrument B first, then Instrument A in 10 days each course,2 courses in total. All the PD drugs were discontinued 12 hours before treatment. No drugs were taken at the intervention day. Treatment was started 2 hours post breakfast. The curative effect was observed and analysised, and motor function was scored l0days,20 days before and after intervention respectively.Results:(1)The Resring tremor, stiff and Bradykinesia movement experiment were significantly decreased,There is significant different in Group A. (p<0.01). There is no significant different in GroupB (p>0.05). There is significant different between GroupA and Group B.(2)There is significant difference of the UPDRSⅠ,Ⅱand the total score, before and after treatment in control Group (p<0.05), UPDRSⅢ(p<0.01)in particular. There is no significant difference of all UPDERS score, before and after treatment in the sham Group (p > 0.05). There is significant difference of UPDRSⅠ>Ⅱ>Ⅲand the total score between the treatment group and the sham group (P< 0.05). (3) The UPDRSIII score, Exercise test time and 10m reentry movement experiment were significantly decreased, and clinical symptoms were enhanced before and after treatment in Group A(p<0.01).There is no significant difference of UPDRSIII score..Exercise test time and 10m reentry movement experiment, before and after treatment in GroupB(p>0.05). There was significant difference between the treatment group and the control group (P<0.05).(4)After 20 days treatment,in the control Group, no case was cure,8 cases marked progress,9 cases were progressive,5 cases were ineffectice.while 22 patients in the treatment Group, no case was cure,2 cases marked progress,3 cases were progressive,17 cases were ineffectice. The efficacy rates and total effective ratio were 40.91% (9/22),77.27% (17/22) and 9.09% (2/22),22.73% (5/22) in Grou A and Group B respectively. The efficacy rates and total effective ratio in the Grou A were much higher than that in the Group B, which shows treatment intervention is better than control treatment.Conclusion:(1)The rTMS treatment has great curative and clinical effect on subjects with Mild,Moderate PD, and has some efficacy in the short term.(2)The rTMS treatment has great curative on subjects with the UPDRS total score, especially to the Motor functionscore.(3) The rTMS treatment has great decrease on subjects with Exercise test time and 10m reentry movement experiment.(4) The rTMS treatment has more great curative and clinical effect than The rTMS treatment on Parkinson's disease (PD)...
