Clinical Study On Auricular Acupressure Therapy Cooperate With Self-correcting Method To Correct Breech Presentation

Objectives:Application of auricular pressure method with self-correcting breech presentation was observed in the efficacy of correcting breech presentation, as well as to evaluate the safety of mothers and fetuses,for the Clinical search for a simple and effective method of breech correcting.Materials and Methods:150 cases Pregnant women of Perinatal breech examined by the Second Affiliated Hospital of Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September 2009 to February 2011 were selected,then they were randomly divided into observation groupⅠ(Auricular pressure method),Observation groupⅡ(Auricular pressure method with Self-correcting breech presentation) and control group (Knee-chest position method),each group contains 50 cases.The treatment lasted 15minutes,2times a day and 7day a course for each case.If the malpresentation was rectified through one Course of treatment,but then it came back as it was before,the patient was treated again by one course of treatment. All cases were observed to parturition and evaluate the effectiveness and security.Results:(1) As for the Observation groupⅠ,39 cases were effectual and 9 cases were unfruitful with a total cure rate as 81.3%;the Observation groupⅡ,46 cases were effectual and 2 cases were unfruitful with a total cure rate as 95.8%;When come to control group,the dates were 32,14 respectively,and the total effective rate was 73.9%. The comparison between Observation groupⅠand Observation groupⅡshowed significantly statistic(p<0.05);There was aslo statistic differences comparing between Observation groupⅠand control group(p< 0.05),observation groupⅡshowed significant differences as against control group(p<0.01);(2) The correction time comparison of the three groups:Observation groups at 1 week the most,while the control group most in the 1-2 week,there was significantly statistic difference between both observation group and control group(p>0.05), but no statistic difference was noted between the two observation groups(p<0.05);(3) The observation groups were unaffected with gestation ages (p>0.05), there was no significantly statistic difference between the two observation groups,while control group was significantly affected(p<0.05);(4) There were no statistic differences on the number of adverse events between observation groups and control group (p>0.05),but the rates(p<0.05); (5) The effective rate of correcting breech was not to be Influenced by parit,There were no statistic difference between primiparas and multipars of the groups (p> 0.05).Conclusion:Auricular acupressure therapy cooperate with Self-correcting method is a simple safe and efficient method for correcting breech.
