The Clinical Significance Of VEGF, TPS, CA125 In Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma And The Relationship Between Them And Efficacy Of TCM

Objective:To study the clinical significance of the three serum tumor markers, vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF), tissue polypeptide specific antigen(TPS) and carbohydrate(CA-125) among healthy group.lymph nodes benign lesionsthe and NHL patients without treatment. To explore the relationship between the three tumor markers levels and the efficacy of NHL.Besides,to explore the three serum tumor markers above are whether there are differences among the three groups.Moreove, to explore the connection between the changes of the three markers above and the efficacy of TCM.Methods:30 NHL patients of first diagnosis were collected in a hospital from January 2009 to January 2011.Meanwhile,20 healthy persons and 10 lymphatic positive patients were also collected as control groups.The serum levels of VEGF,TPS and CA125 were examined before chemical therapy,after two cycles,and in control groups.Moreover, the serum levels were also examined in the patients at stageⅠtoⅡand at stageⅢtoⅣ.Sensitivity and specificity of the combined determinatians and the respective determinations were measured,too. Syndromes classification of TCM was used to define the 30 patients, who were divided into the positive group and the virtual group, and correlation analysis was held after two cycles of chemotherapy.Results:The serum levels of VEGF, TPS and CA125 were higher in lymphoma patients than those in control groups (p<0.05), and the serum levels of VEGF and TPS also higher in the patients at stage III and IVthan at stageⅠandⅡ(p<0.05). However, the serum level of CA125 has no great change among different stages.the serum levels had no difference between control groups (p>0.05). After chemotherapy, the scrum levels of the tumor markers above were significantly lowered in the patients of the effective group, (p<0.05).The sensitivity and specificity of the combined determinations including the three tumor markers were higher than those of the respective determinations. With different chinese medicine diagnoses, the curative effects were also different, however, the relationship between t expressions of the three tumor markers and the chinese medicine diagnoses has not be predictable so far.Conclusion:The levels of VEGF, TPS and CA125 were high in first-diagnosis NHL patients,a(?) The levels of VEGF, TPS were significantly decreased after two cycles of chemotherapy.B The level of CA125 had no large change.The combined detection of the three tumor marke is recommended in clinical work. The positive group in TCM has better curative effect tha the virtual group.
