In addition to the 2cm chest wall incisions on both sides, another 2cm small incision below the xiphoid process was also cut to assist in lifting the sternum; one metal Nuss supporting frame was used. The operation was susseful, without pneumothorax, hemothorax, wound infection and other complications, the chest wall correction result was satisfied. During 3 months of postoperative follow-up, thoracic appearance maintained good and the location of supporting frame was well fixed without rotation or displacement. The heart and lung function was also improved.[Conclusion] Minimally invasive Nuss surgery for children has the advantages of less blood loss, less trauma, faster postoperative recovery, easy way to master the surgical process and recently satisfying correction effect. The xiphoid process incision in the surgery will increase the safety of the operation, avoid intraoperative damage to pericardium and heart and other serious complications.Nuss surgery is a better treatment for correcting children's pectus excavatum and is worthy of promotion.
